With more than 25 years in education, I am an elementary teacher, literacy advocate, and structured literacy leader from Powell. I hold a Master’s degree in Reading, National Board Certification in Literacy, and extensive training in the Science of Reading, including LETRS, Orton-Gillingham, and CERI certification. My passion is helping all students become confident readers through explicit, systematic, evidence-based instruction grounded in structured literacy practices.
Beyond the classroom, I am actively involved with the The Reading League Wyoming and serve on Wyoming’s Superintendent’s Literacy Cabinet, where I collaborate with educators and literacy leaders to support statewide literacy initiatives and evidence-based reading practices. I am passionate about supporting teachers, educating families, and advocating for high-quality literacy instruction that improves outcomes for all students. Through presentations and professional learning opportunities, I enjoy sharing practical, classroom-ready strategies that combine research, engagement, and meaningful student success.
