About me
Alex Schumacher serves as the Director of Outreach & Admissions at Western Wyoming Community College, where he leads outreach, recruitment, admissions, and dual and concurrent enrollment initiatives across a 29,000-square-mile service area in southwest Wyoming. Working closely with school districts, educators, counselors, and community partners, he helps expand access to higher education opportunities for students throughout the region.Since joining Western in 2018, Alex has held leadership roles in student life, housing, outreach, and admissions. Her work focuses on creating student-centered pathways that support successful transitions from high school to college, with a particular emphasis on dual and concurrent enrollment programs. A graduate of the University of Wyoming, Alex is passionate about strengthening college access and student success in rural communities. He has helped develop partnerships and enrollment strategies that connect students with college opportunities earlier in their academic journeys.
